Hi VTBirders,
On Saturday, May 28, the North Branch Nature Center will be hosting its 5th
annual BirdFest in Montpelier.
Morning bird walks begin at 7:00 a.m. The rest of the day will be filled
with activities perfect for people of all ages and experience levels. With
bird banding demos, bird walks and workshops, live raptor presentations,
art exhibits, wood carving displays, bird-friendly coffee and maple, and a
children's activity tent, we have everyone covered!
This year's highlights include BirdSong Tune Up with Bridget Butler (walk
and talk) as well as a special talk with ornithologist Alyssa Borowske
entitled "Rising Tides and Specialized Sparrows: the reality of tidal marsh
birds and climate change". I will also be hosting a few short talks about
using eBird to help become a better birder.

Good Birding,
Larry
