Thursday May 6 7:00 AM – Bird Walk at The Farm Between (on Route 15 between Cambridge and Jeffersonville)
Tuesdays May 10, 17 and 24, 5:30-7:00 PM class at Mount Mansfield Union High School, part of MMU After Dark - Spring Is For The Birds! - In this class, you’ll learn about several local birding hotspots, including directions, details about parking and trails, and of course the birds that you might find at each location. You’ll also learn about several out-of-state refuges that provide both birds and beauty.
Wednesday May 18 9:00 AM Island Arts class at the North Hero Methodist Church - Spring, Spring, Spring, And Birds Are Everywhere - We’ll study spring migration in all its diversity and wonder, and then we’ll look at, listen to and learn about many of the beautiful birds that will raise their young in our state.
Friday May 20 6:30 PM – Introduction to Birds and Birding at Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge headquarters, Tabor Road in Swanton
Saturday May 21 7:00 AM – Island Arts Field Trip at North Hero State Park
Wednesdays June 1, 8 and 15 5:00–6:30 PM OLLI-UVM class, Aiken 112 – Summer Birds and Birding in Vermont - We’ll talk about which birds come back when and where they’ve been all winter. Then we’ll discuss grassland birds and related conservation issues. The third class will be a review of a few local birding hot spots.
