A short stroll through a small section of woods and across one field at CrossHaven Farm in Moretown this morning turned up 40 species. (I’m sure there were others in the warbler category — that my poor hearing missed. And, I didn’t check the river and wider fields)
Highlights were 2 vivid Blackburnians, a Baltimore Oriole, 3 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, 3 RC Kinglets, a Creeper, 7 Siskins and a Broad-wing that escorted me through part of the woods.
Feels like spring!
