Hotel information for the 2016 HWS IV

On top of an astounding judging pool, we’ve lined up a fantastic hotel. The tournament hotel for the HWS IV is the brand new (not even open yet) Geneva Fairfield Inn & Suites<http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/ithfl-fairfield-inn-and-suites-geneva-finger-lakes/>, within walking distance from campus. Reservations can be made by going to a website dedicated to our own tournament’s block of rooms:
            http://tinyurl.com/hfng9wj
Rates are as follows:
-- $150 = 1 King bed (up to 3 people)
-- $155 = 2 Queen beds (up to 4 people)
-- $160 = King suite with sofa bed (up to 5 people)
-- $165 = 2 Queen bed suite with sofa bed (up to 6 people)
These rates include parking, internet and breakfast. There are no “additional guest charges” for rooms with more than two guests. You can also book rooms here by calling 1-888-236-2427 and booking under the group “Hobart William Smith Debate Tournament” [sic].

If these rooms fill up, we have reserved additional rooms at the Holiday Inn in Seneca Falls (about 15 minutes away). These rooms are available at a rate of $182 under the group code “HWS Debate”.

You may see on-line that there are rooms available at the America’s Best Value in Geneva, for considerably less money. We strongly discourage you from staying at this hotel. In the past, some debaters have ignored this recommendation and have subsequently pleaded with us to help them find a new place to stay after their first night. Do both us and yourself a favor and contact me directly before booking rooms at this hotel if you feel like you have no choice but to stay there.

Initial registration for the tournament is also at:
      http://tinyurl.com/h8dfwyd
As always, contact me or Steven Penner with any questions.

WARNING: These room blocks will expire before the school year starts. On top of that, the most desirable rooms will sell out first, so you should make your reservations now.
