There was a Black-bellied Plover (mostly lacking the black belly by now)
amongst the many Killdeer and Canada Geese on the mudflats at Shelburne Bay
this morning. Other shorebirds present included a few Greater and Lesser
Yellowlegs, 6 Least Sandpipers, 2 Semipalmated Sandpipers, and 2 Pectoral
Sandpipers. This certainly looks like it will be a wonderful shorebird spot
when peak migration arrives.
