Today's Rutland Herald has an article about a wind project in Windham. I read it to say that the company is offering to pay $1162 to each resident every year in addition to its property taxes. Now I know that probably not every resident is a voter, but the company has also stated that it will abide by the decision voters make on the project in November - so doesn't that seem like they are trying to buy votes? I thought that was illegal!
Just my two cents for today, I could be wrong and hope someone will clarify this for us all.
