After starting on the NYS side of Champlain (where Barrow's Goldeneye continue in Port Henry), my brother, his son, and I had a few nice finds in Vermont. Highlights:
Chimney Point - large flock of ducks included all 6 Aythya species (well, all 6 we can reasonably hope for without an escapee or a trip to the zoo):
Tufted Duck
Redhead (male)
Canvasback (female)
multiple RN Ducks in with the large mixed flock of Scaup
There may be other goodies of note in the flock - we eventually gave up with the setting sun and could have used more time.
Short-eared Owl - Gage Road
Good Birding!
