Yep.  And of course, the minute we figured out who the good ones were, new
administration restructured IT so that it is explicitly forbidden to
contact any IT person directly.  We are required to <dreaded phrase>
"submit a ticket to the Help Desk."  No good EVER comes from that.  They
take down the info, consult their wiki (ahem) "knowledge base," issue a
stern lecture on the sanctity of "our information," announce that (no
matter what the problem is) "it's policy," and close the ticket.  The. End.
