.The Lake Champlain Forecast...

.TONIGHT...Variable winds around 5 knots...becoming south at 
10 to 15 knots after midnight. Waves less than 1 foot...building
to 1 to 2 feet after midnight.
.FRIDAY...South winds 10 to 20 knots. Waves 1 to 3 feet. Snow
developing in the morning...changing to rain in the afternoon. 
Visibility 1 to 3 miles.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...South winds 10 to 20 knots until midnight...becoming
light and variable overnight before trending north 5 to 10 knots
toward morning. Waves 1 to 2 feet...subsiding to 1 foot or less 
after midnight. Rain until midnight...then a chance of rain or 
snow after midnight. Visibility 2 to 4 miles. 
.SATURDAY...North winds around 10 knots. Waves around 1 foot. A 
chance of mixed precipitation in the morning...then mainly dry in
the afternoon. Visibility generally unrestricted. 

Wave heights are for ice free areas.

The ultraviolet index for Friday will be a 2. This is in the low
category.

.The Higher Summits Forecast for Vermont and Northern New York...

.TONIGHT...Mainly clear this evening...then becoming cloudy
overnight. Evening lows 10 to 18 above...slowly rising into the
20s overnight. West winds 10 to 20 mph...becoming southwest at 20
to 35 mph after midnight. Wind chill values around zero this
evening.
.FRIDAY...Cloudy in the morning...then summits becoming obscured 
in clouds with mixed precipitation developing. Highs 32 to 39. 
Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph...increasing to 35 to 50 mph in the 
afternoon. 
.FRIDAY NIGHT...Summits obscured in clouds. Rain or mixed
precipitation until midnight...then mixed precipitation likely
after midnight. Lows 25 to 30 north and 30 to 35 south. West 
winds 35 to 50 mph...becoming northwest 20 to 35 mph after 
midnight. 
.SATURDAY...Summits obscured in clouds in the morning...then
cloudy. A chance of mixed precipitation in the morning...with
precipitation becoming confined to the southern Greens in the
afternoon. Near steady temperatures from the upper 20s to lower
30s north...and lower to mid 30s south. Northwest winds 10 to 20 
mph...becoming north 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
