Greetings, VTBIRDers:
Yep, Fox Sparrows are passing through (and singing). Ruth and I also found a Vesper Sparrow at North Branch Nature Center this afternoon (near the community gardens). Just past there, in Hubbard Park, we bumped into three Palm Warblers and a Pine Warbler, including one of each in the same White Pine. See it for yourself (a quick point-ahd-shoot shot) on our eBird list: http://ebird.org/ebird/vt/view/checklist/S35882152
Oh, by the way, lots of other stuff happening, including the season's first butterflies in flight and tiny explosions from Beaked Hazelnut flowers. You know, I’ve always wondered what might happen if nature bloggers wrote like BuzzFeed writers and other purveyors of clickbait. So check this out — it’ll change your life forever: https://bryanpfeiffer.com/2017/04/11/nature-clickbait/
Best,
