6 of us had the same idea for visiting Moose Bog this morning and were
treated to at least 5 Black-blacked Woodpeckers, a male & female Spruce
Grouse at opposite ends of the trail, Gray Jay and one lone Boreal
Chickadee reluctant to come in.
The woodpeckers were quite active as 2 males courted a female on the same
trees for long periods.
On Saturday with the Mad Birders we had pretty much the same species except
dipped on the grouse but added Hermit Thrush, Winter Wren, Purple Finch,
Broad Wing, N.Harrier and Merlin.
Report from today below with a few snap shots.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do
nothing.
