To access the flush position using the Pal keypad hit F3, then setup, objects, injectors.
Injectors are not used with the gasbench, but the method still needs some blank location that it pretends to inject to. Flush is usually the default gasbench "injector".
Check the location of "flush" is out of the way of any other physical objects like wash stations, trays, etc., and make a slight adjustment. If the needle is still finding vials you may not need to make any other changes. Otherwise, a worn bungee on the needle guide may be related.
