Sorry for the late post. Last Sunday on my walk ( 11 miles ) I saw for the
first time a pair of Black - backed woodpeckers in Bill Slaydk WMA less 1/2
mile from the southern tip of Holland Pond. First time I have seen this
species in the NEK in any place other than Moose Bog  ( for the last three
years I have taken many all day walks in Bill Slaydk WMA ).
