Last night while getting ready for a canoe race at the Milton power plant access to the Lamoille River, we heard osprey screaming and looked up and saw a mature bald eagle chasing it. Another osprey joined in. One of the osprey had a fish in its talons and an osprey nest was nearby. The chase disappeared behind trees so we never saw the outcome, but when we left after our paddle, one of the osprey was in the nest.
