Hello birders,

Recently it was reported here that one of our regional birding hotspots,
the floodplains in Woodstock, were posted as no trespass. As some of you
know, we've been birding on these lands for decades and as the data on the
Vermont eBird hotspot suggest, we've tallied quite a nice list of species
and checklists, see http://ebird.org/ebird/vt/hotspot/L16771
<http://ebird.org/ebird/vt/hotspot/L167714>. Fortunately, we will be able
to continue our birding activities at this location. I spoke with the
Woodstock Inn and Resort management (the name on the posted signs and
owners) and they assured me that the birding community is welcome to
continue birding this area. I would like to stress that we need to continue
to be respectful of the landowner by not interfering with farming
operations at all and to stick to the very edges of fields or on the
tractor lanes and not venture into tilled and planted locations.

Thanks,
Kent
