(This is a post I wrote this morning, when the UVM datacenter, including 
SKIVT-L, was down.)

I'm sitting in my warm den, mug of tea in my hands, slippers on my feet. 
The thermometer outside reads -10°F. I should be skiing, I think. I look 
at the web cams for the Snow Bowl and MRG, my two home mountains. The 
sun is shining, the lifts are spinning, and the total number of skiers 
in both places is exactly zero.

That about sums it up.
