My yard birds have been abundant EXCEPT for a couple of days earlier after the snow had melted and temps were warmer. Very little activity followed. With fresh snow back on the ground and colder temps, my feeder has been hopping with Jays, Chickadees, Titmouse,Cardinals, Juncos, Doves, Nuthatch, WTSP, HOFI. I don't participate in Cornell's Feeder Watch program because I am usually out of the country during Jan & Feb so I have no ebird records for that time period. Conclusion is that other than those few days mentioned, my feeder bird count is averaging the same number of species and birds.
