We found 2 Snowy Owls still present on Middle Rd. in Bridport late this
afternoon. One was way back from the road along the edge of the field on
the NE corner of the intersection with Basin Harbor Rd. The other Snowy
was on the ground at the base of a fence post N of Middle Rd. about a tenth
of a mile W of Basin Harbor Rd. Both owls were dark birds.
Ospreys seem to have taken over as the most abundant raptor in the Champlain
