A Merlin is still visiting the area around the stormwater drainage pond on Quail Run in South Burlington. It was there this morning as of 9:00 AM. Behaving territorially. Mike Sargent was there too, taking photos.

For the past 10 days one has been visiting the area around a new stormwater drainage pond along Quail Run in South Burlington— calling frequently, roosting in tall maples near the pond. Yesterday I observed another (or the same?) Merlin behaving similarly near Country Club Rd. in Burlington. The two sites are about 3 miles apart, as the Merlin flies.
