This morning I had a new yard bird (Woodstock) - White-eyed Vireo. He was
singing for about 10 min. before he faded off northward. Attempts to locate
him later failed. Here's recording of him singing:
This is my second in Vermont. On almost the same date a few years ago I had
one singing in Killington.
A look at Vermont eBird shows them creeping up the valleys -
and since the breed in s. New England, maybe this will be our next new
breeding bird one of these days....
