Today the monthly W. Rutland marsh walk had
an amazing display by four Am. Bitterns that flew about the marsh in pairs. A number of laps by both had all participants excited.
A Golden-Winged warbler was observed and was a life bird for one birder. Other warblers were busy feeding on a variety of greenery.
Noted was the absence of alder and willow flycatchers.
