We saw several great blue herons, great egrets, and osprey (two of them with fish in their talons), two green herons and one black crowned night heron yesterday morning as we canoed the LaPlatte and McCabe Brook from the Shelburne Access. Also two pair of wood ducks. A beautiful morning, the first canoe ride of the spring.

I just relocated the bird foraging and singing in the driveway of 711 Knowles Flats. 711 is vacant, so no worries about looking at the house with bins, but please be respectful of the property owner. Bird was associating with Chipping Sparrows and was easily found from the road.
