Spring was in full swing along our Audubon VT/VELCO Golden-winged Survey route in Pittsford this morning. Target species counted included three Golden-winged Warbler/Blue-winged Warblers; one Golden-winged Warbler x Blue-winged Warbler hybrid; seven Prairie Warblers; four Field Sparrows; 11 Eastern Towhees; and two Brown-headed Cowbirds. Two other target species were not seen, American Woodcock and Brown Thrasher.
There was a nice warbler representation. And we heard one Black-billed Cuckoo.
