The warbler wagon made a stop in Brandon on Short Swamp Rd. Blackburnian, Nashville, ovenbirds redstart and n. waterthrushes .
Wood thrush , catbird towhee also in the area. A couple of sapsuckers held forth, one playing a tattoo on a bass drum the other on a snare drum. Hairy and downy yakking and drumming as well. Ruby- crowned kinglets sang in accompaniment.
Two turkeys slunk through the powerline trying to look invisible. Heard gobbling but not sure if a hunter was luring the birds.
What a great morning.
