Subject: Dog number of an article?

Hello all,

I am working with a student and faculty member who have submitted an article for a publication, and they were told they needed to include a "dog number" for one of their citations. I have never heard of a "dog number" before. Is anyone familiar with this, and how to find such a number?

Thanks,

Kate
