Despite the snow and the cold, it isn't actually winter yet! No, they
definitely do not winter over this far north, nor do they breed here in
summer. White-Crowns only migrate through VT on their way south, or north,
and we've had a few reported in recent weeks, I think.
Do double-check that you don't have a White-Throated Sparrow, though.
They can look awfully similar, especially if you haven't seen a lot before.
I can't advise you on pix, but I'm pretty sure one can't post them to the
VT bird list itself. You'd need to post them somewhere else and then post
a link to the list for people to go look.
