I saw a single cormorant this morning at Ft Cassin on the far side of the
north facing bay. Given the distance and light interference, not to
mention my slight shaking hands due to cold, I couldn't be certain but I
thought there could have been white on the throat. This is the same bay
where a great cormorant was seen several years ago, and I am wondering if
that's what it was. If anyone else is going there and wants to weigh in, I
would be interested to hear what you think. Originally it was swimming
along the far shore and was last seen perched on a rock just off the
western point, to the left of the concrete pier.
