I was also on the Little Chicago-Sand Road loop today and can add a Northern Shrike to Steve's list. It was on the north side of Little Chicago Road where it crosses South Slang (about halfway between the intersections with Sand and Walker Roads).

Did the Little Chicago, Sand Road loop again today. Found a large mixed flock of redpolls-about 150–and snow buntings—about 75—swirling around in a field west of Sand Road just before Grosse Point Rd. Then found a flock of at least 500 snow buntings on the east side of Hawkins Road. Throw in at least 50 horned larks and 10 longspurs on Walker Rd, a song sparrow, rough legged hawk, lots of tree sparrows, bluebirds, and juncos and it all made for a fun winter outing.
