I just happened to catch a large raptor flying over the wetland below my
house. The bird was unlike any of the typical raptors...light, almost white
color, very uniform in color,bigger than a peregrine, stubby wings, longish
tail. The last sighting had the bird flying over Memphremagog heading
towards Eagle Pt. Its flight pattern, body characteristics, strength in
flying, pushes me to call this a gyrfalcon.
