Until now, our students who do poster presentations at local and regional symposia printed their posters or banners elsewhere. We're in a position to investigate buying our own ink jet large format printer, but we need to forecast cost;  the idea is to calculate the cost of supplies (paper+ink) factor in depreciation cost,  add a service contract (if any) and get an idea of how much would it cost on average  to print a poster. Then, we'd offer students printing at a competitive/lower price than outside vendors. But I don't have ball park numbers for those; paper, ink, depreciation on the printer, a service contract. Does anyone have any expertise, experience, some ballpark numbers to offer? Thanks in advance!
