Banner day here ,sitting in the sun on the patio. WE had a Philadelphia vireo, a blue headed vireo , and a female rose breasted grosbeak all at once in the same maple !
Next door in the apple were ruby crowned kinglet and a phoebe. The house wren made an announcement of its arrival around 5am. Chestnut sided warbler around 9am, with a new song. THe dog roused a wood thrush around 4 pm , and a hummer arrived around 5. great day to be outside.Curiously missing, since the black flies started today, were the resident bluebirds and tree swallows?
