The young? owl with lots of black barring, took flight.

The first Snowy Owls of the season are now on the move, with reports trickling in from the Upper Midwest, Massachusetts and Quebec. So watch for them in the usual haunts here in Vermont (including Addison County and the Burlington Waterfront).
As many of you may know, Snow Goose numbers in the Champlain Valley are also now climbing into the thousands at various sites here in Vermont and in New York.
