I got this email from a professor today: "This is a link to a text published in the 1800s. It is in public domain, but I believe a company called Taschen has rights to some aspect of the material. How does this work? I assume we cannot use images directly from their replication or digital copies. If we digitize the original book ourselves, could this be used in class? Could we sell it as part of a new work? I appreciate any guidance you can offer." Here is the link he references:

Information helps you to see that you're not alone. That there's somebody in Mississippi and somebody in Tokyo who all have wept, who've all longed and lost, who've all been happy. So the library helps you to see, not only that you are not alone, but that you're not really any different from everyone else.
Maya Angelou

I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.
