Thank you for the helpful suggestions. After running some tests I'm pretty sure the backflush valve isn't an issue; I'm just trying to get a handle on what is enough oxygen and how much is actually making it into the reactor while the O2 valve is on. I've taken the perspective of "less is more" and it seems to be working out so far. Good to know that I'm not missing something obvious!
