Once again, we are announcing a new job opening for a field service engineer for the installation, repair, and maintenance of Thermo Scienific isotope ratio instruments. And once again, the job description is a bit off. Don't be turned off by the regional requirements listed. It is imperative that one lives within reasonable distance to an airport that can get you most anywhere in the US but the position isn't requisite to those locations listed. The deadline and start dates are somewhat open depending upon qualified applicants. Otherwise, I think the job description pretty much sums up the tasks you would face. The job really is varied, the region is the entire US (there really is a lot of travel), the learning curve is very high, one never stops learning, and good interpersonal skills are critical. I hope that you will consider applying to this job offer, it truly can be a rewarding experience.
