Oh, growing up in NW Indiana, the Redheaded Woodpecker was my favorite bird to watch. It would be terrific to see it close to home in Vermont. Please keep me posted. Thanks, Kay in Hinesburg

Subject: [VTBIRD] Redheaded Woodpecker in Buells Gore!
A reliable source in Buells Gore just called me to tell me that an immature Redheaded Woodpecker has been visiting his feeders today! He will let me know if it returns tomorrow and he is open to people coming to look for it if they'd like. This location borders the Camels Hump State Forest (Stevens Block) hotspot. It would be so cool if it could be found there and added to the eBird data!
If anyone wants to be updated about this bird, please email me and I'll keep you informed!

P.S. Anyone venturing to route 17 tomorrow will not be able to get there via Main Road through Huntington as a bridge in Hanksville is being worked on and no traffic can pass it.
