.SYNOPSIS...
Other than scattered light rain showers associated with several 
frontal passages today, the remainder of the week will be dry with 
high pressure in control of our weather. Above normal temperatures 
appear likely through the week with highs in the 60s to near 70
degrees by this weekend.

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
As of 402 AM EDT Tuesday...A weak warm front has lifted north across
the North Country during the overnight hours with some light rain
showers along the frontal boundary associated with isentropic lift.
Given the environment started off on the drier side, it took some
time to saturate the lower levels with light rain now making it to
the ground across the northern sections of our forecast area.
Isolated to scattered showers will be the norm today until a cold
front pushes through the region this evening which should bring an
end to the shower activity by sunrise on Wednesday. Rainfall totals
will be pretty meager with all locations seeing less than a tenth of
an inch of rainfall from the shower activity. In the meantime,
temperatures will be well above normal values with temps in the low
to mid 60s this afternoon with "cooler" temperatures on Wednesday
with highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s. High pressure will begin to
settle across the region Wednesday afternoon bringing clearer skies
to the region while eliminating any remaining rainfall chances.

.SHORT TERM /WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY/...
As of 402 AM EDT Tuesday...Wednesday night and Thursday will feature
more quiet weather with temperatures trending warmer by Thursday.
High pressure will slide off to our east on Wednesday night. Should
have a pretty calm and cool night, but may have some high clouds
around to prevent temperatures from completely bottoming out. Have
used a blend of MOS guidance for now. Lows will range from the upper
20s to upper 30s, warmest in the St Lawrence valley where we should
have some southwesterly return flow. Warm air advection will be
ongoing on Thursday as a surface warm front lifts across our area.
High temperatures will be about ten degrees above seasonal normals,
ranging from the upper 50s to lower 60s.

.LONG TERM /THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY/...
As of 402 AM EDT Tuesday...Thursday night onward will feature more
dry and warm weather. From Thursday night through early Sunday we'll
have surface and upper level ridging building over our region.
Temperatures will be a little warmer each day during this period
until a cold front crosses our area later Sunday night into Monday.
Of course timing will get ironed out better as we get closer to
Sunday. At this time, looks like temperatures could push 70 degrees
in parts of our area on Sunday ahead of the surface front. We may
also have some strong south southwesterly winds ahead of the frontal
passage.

.AVIATION /08Z TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...
Through 06Z Wednesday...TAF sites continue to see slowly
deteriorating conditions as a warm front begins to lift north
with ceilings dropping to 1500 to 2500 ft in the wake of the
front. A few showers have sprung up across the region but are
not creating an visibilities below 6SM. Conditions through 18Z
are expected to deteriorate further with widespread MVFR
conditions and possibly so local IFR near KSLK possible. A cold
front will sweep through the region late in the period and may
be the focus of another weak round of showers with little to no
impacts expected once again. Once the front pushes east, we
should see the lower clouds in most locations begin to mix out
with conditions returning to VFR at all locations expected KSLK
after 00Z.

Tuesday Night: Mainly VFR, with local MVFR possible. NO SIG WX.
Wednesday: VFR. NO SIG WX.
Wednesday Night: VFR. NO SIG WX.
Thursday: VFR. NO SIG WX.
Thursday Night: VFR. NO SIG WX.
Friday: VFR. NO SIG WX.
Friday Night: VFR. Slight chance SHRA.
Saturday: VFR. NO SIG WX.
