I'd second Bob's recommendation. I haven't tried the new Mendeley on campus, but in the past it used to be blocked by the system. EndNoteweb is just not up to the same standards as either Zotero or Mendeley.

I hope that helps!

Also, every time I try to send a reply to your personal email, I get an Undeliverable reply. It looks like your security is blocking some external messages.

Zotero. open source thus inexpensive, yet very nice. Supports groups of investigators which is very nice when you are guideline medical trainees and you collaborate and can monitor evolution in their bibliography.

Dear colleagues,

Do any of you have a recommendation for the best no-cost software to use for keeping track of papers for medical student/resident research projects?

We are not part of a university, so we don't have any campus-wide subscriptions.

I'd be interested to know whether your IT departments block any of them and, if folks are using the free/basic versions, how they get around the storage limits.

(I am familiar with the 2018 JMLA article on this topic and am looking at papers which have cited that one. Just looking for some more informal feedback on the topic.)

Thanks & Happy Friday!
