Hi Len:  Tyler Coplen told me that the US embassy in Japan was willing to help
us acquire hokko beads.  I sent the embassy a fax about this a month ago, and
have gotten no reply.  I will send them a letter next week, to try again.  I
will let the Isogeochem group know if/when I have some success.
