Subject: Stanford Univ. Holds Election Using WWW

On April 19th and 20th, students at Stanford University voted in a
student government election using the World Wide Web. Over 4700
students voted during the two days. This was the first election of its
kind ever held on the World Wide Web.
The election process received positive reviews for ease of use and for
the speed with which the votes were counted.
