>From a talk recently given by Andrew Coope of Sun, I gather thatNetscape 2.0
handles Java/Java Script in quite a secure manner.
Apparently, it will not allow the applets to read or write files on the
client PC or on machines connected to it through a local network. This
however is not the case with Sun's Hot java.
Furthermore, both the browsers will not allow any aplet loaded from
elsewhere to start other programs on the client PC or make direct calls
to the operating system.
