I have a very simple way to deal with this problem.  I chained scissor,
cutting board, stable remover.  They are near our copying machine.  It
seems work on me.  Buy a dozen of mini size pencils leave in the public
area, or near the phone for users' convenience. 3 x 5 index cards leave
also in the public area.  I have to go.
