Dear all, I'd like to get people's opinions on techniques for determining
13C of dissolved CO2 in waters. There are two techniques currently being
used: (1) precipitating BaCO3 or SrCO3 with BaCl2 or SrCl2 soln, and (2)
evolving CO2 gas by acidifying the water. Are there any reasons to prefer
one to the another? Any comments on this issue is appreciated.
