I was wondering if anyone out there has had a new 8085 processor
(main PC board) installed in their Finnigan 252 to allow the newest version
of ISODAT 5.2 to work properly for GC-C-IRMS of C. When we got ours
upgraded, some hardwiring changes in the can and redefinition of cups in the
software needed to be performed to allow the software to "see" CO2 signals.
Otherwise, there was no baseline detected. We also have HD cups on our
instrument, but this was not checked during the installation of the board.
However, now HD has no baseline through the software and I wonder if the new
board has anything to do with it. HD signals can be seen through a chart
recorder, but not the software. Can any of you with this new board and HD
cups, check if you see the same problem? I have been in contact with
finnigan for a few weeks now and ran through alot of tests with no success
yet. If anyone has or had the problem and may know what to do, I'd
appreciate any information.
