Dear Isotopes Guys,
Does anybody know the O fractionation between oxygen (gas) and water (liquid) ?
I'm interested in radiolysis of water, which produce O2 and H2 : H2O = H2 +
0,5 O2
The H isotope effect of radiolysis is investigated by Ambar et Meyerstein
(1965).
Does anybody know the O isotope effect ?
If not, do you think fractionation of O during synthesis of water (H2 + 0,5
O2 = H2O) may be equivalent to the radiolyse of water ?
Many thanks in advance to all who will respond,
