hi steve!
i assume you mean NO apparent stenosis not NOW apparent stenosis.
but if this is not a typo then:
need more specifics/findings r/e intracranial stenosis to answer this
question! where? based on what findings? mild/moderate/severe?

PI's .6-.8 somewhat low still WNL, per literature <.5 abnormal
?mean velocities also high everywhere? i suspect this is global high flow.
have not heard of high flow/low PIs specifically assosiated with pregnancy
but some of these factors affecting cerebral flow may be the culprit.
age (she is young at 35=higher flow)
blood pressure (does she have HTN?)
blood volume (dehydrated? multiple IVs?)
heart rate (rapid rate=less diastolic time=lower PIs)
hematocrit (did she bleed?low HCT=high flow)
intracranial pressure (probably normal)
medications (vasodialators) (any on board?)
O2/CO2 levels (could she be hyperventilating=high flow)
etc
etc
high flow is often of unknown etiology
known causes of high flow
-head injury
-young heathy people
-mabee assosiated with migrane
good luck and thanks for all your flownet efforts!!!
