UVM's Banner Student Information System (SIS) will be unavailable all day this
Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997
while the giraffe computer is undergoing scheduled hardware maintenance.
This upgrade will include adding more memory and replacing giraffe's 8
processors with faster chips.
This will affect all forms of access to the student information system:
 Touch-tone registration
 Web access for course info, class lists, schedules,
policies -- and Web course registration
This includes everything on the Registrar's web pages,
found by choosing "Courses and Schedules" from the
UVM home page or by going to:
 Gopher access to course information, schedules, and rosters
This includes the Registrar's gopher menus that you may
access via Web pages, via InfoCat, or directly to
 Telnet or dial-in to giraffe for Banner SIS

As usual, once Banner SIS is again available, usage and PIN questions
