The Starksboro Village Meeting House Society and the Sheldon Museum
of Middlebury are sponsoring a slide talk, The Architecture of
Vermont's Historic Churches, on Friday, April 25th, at 7:30 p.m. in
the Starksboro Village Meeting House. The meeting house is an 1838 Gothic
Revival building located on the west side of VT Route 116 in the village.

The talk will be given by Elsa Gilbertson, National Register
Specialist at the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation,
lecturer in the UVM Graduate Program in Historic Preservation, and
member of the Meeting House board.

The program is one in a series of events sponsored by the Sheldon
Museum in connection with one of their current exhibits, "Windows to
Our Historic Architecture." The exhibit, developed last year by the
Chimney Point State Historic Site, focuses on Addison County
buildings. The program also celebrates the Meeting House's upcoming
restoration project.

The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be
served afterwards. All are welcome.
