******** ATTENTION ALL THOSE INTERESTED IN HIKING, *******
CANOEING, AND NATURAL HISTORY
Northern Forest Heritage Treks are scheduled in Vermont through the month
of July. These outings, slideshows, workshops, etc. all focus on the 26
million acre Northern Forest stretching across northern NY, VT, NH, &
ME. These events are intended to help share the special landscape,
culture and heritage of this unique natural resource.
The Northern Forest Alliance, in partnership with local organizations and
businesses, is sponsoring the nine week lineup of Heritage Treks across
the region. The Alliance has published a calendar listing all the events
with descriptions, times, and contact information.
I have extra calendars and would be happy to share them if anyone is
interested. There will be plenty of press in the local papers as well,
but the calendars are a convenient information source listing all
events. If you are unable to reach me, feel free to contact Lisa Smith
at the VNRC (Vermont Natural Resources Council) at 223-2328 for more
information or calendars.
