The Vermont Historical Society will be celebrating the release of Society
Trustee Howard Coffin's new book _Nine Months to Gettysburg_ at a signing party
to be held in the Victorian Lobby of the Pavilion Building, 109 State Street,
Montpelier, on Thursday, December 11, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Mr. Coffin
will give a short talk about his research at 5:00 p.m.  Refreshments will be
served; admission is free.

_Nine Months to Gettysburg_ is published by the Countryman Press, Woodstock,
sells for $29.95, and is available in the Society's Museum Shop.  Orders can be
placed by calling 802-828-2291.  VHS members receive a special 15% discount on
items ordered by December 14; the discount is usually 10%.  NOTE:  Supplies of
Coffin's books are running low; depending on demand books may not be shipped
from the VHS until the beginning of Christmas week.
